NAVAL MAN’S DEATH PRESUMED.

Leading Radio Mechanic N. G. Williamson, whose death has been presumed, served in the destroyer Hurworth in the Mediterranean until she was mined when going to the assistance of the Greek destroyer Adrius off the Dodecanese Islands in October 1943. He was the husband of Mrs H. M. Williamson, Fulton street, the only son of Mr and Mrs G. P. Williamson, Pomona street, and a grandson of Mr and Mrs D. Robertson, Compton street. He was educated at the St. George School and the Southland Boys’ High School, and had been a member of the staff of J. G. Ward and Company, Ltd., for nine years before enlisting for service in the Navy.
