SERVICE BISCUITS
CONTRACT FOR DOMINION MANUFACTURERS (P.A.) DUNEDIN, June 22. Although no official announcement has yet been made, it is understood that New Zealand manufacturers have been given a further contract for a large quantity of service biscuits for the Allied forces overseas and that production will begin immediately. It is expected that a generous percentage of this contract will be allocated to biscuit manufacturers in Otago and Southland and that an arrangement of additional shifts will be entailed. The new contract should give a stimulus to industries which contribute in a subsidiary way to the requirements of the biscuit trade.
