ST. ANDREW’S SCOTTISH SOCIETY

There was a large attendance of members at the monthly meeting of the St. Andrew’s Scottish Society last night. The chief, Mi’ W. Aitchison, presided. The speaker for the evening was Miss M. W. May, who gave an address on the Stuart kings, reviewing the history of the clan. A vote of thanks was" proposed by Mr John Watt. Items were presented by the Southland Girls’ High School sextette, conducted by Miss C. L. Cumming, and Piper G. Elder. The accompanists were Miss A. Cockerell and Mrs R. N. Fraser. A motion of sympathy with the relations of the late Mr G. J. Reed was passed by the meeting.
