BLUFF HARBOUR BOARD EMPLOYEE
Sir,—ln reply to the letter which appeared in your issue of May 22, over the signatures of the president and the secretary of the Harbour Board Union, Bluff, I have to state that the remarks I made at the meeting of the Hospital Board concerning a Bluff Harbour Board employee referred to the ca ® e of a man who was employed on the overhaul of the Bluff Harbour Boards vessels in Port Chalmers. , This man, through the neglect of his duties, was suspended by the board’s officer, and was reinstated by the Manpower vtficer in Dunedin. My remarks had no connection with the men employed by the Bluff Harbour Board at Bluff, as the board’s relationship with its_ staii in Bluff has always been very satisfactory, and the board’s employees endeavour to serve to the best of their ability the board and its interests. WILLIAM NORMAN. May 22,1945.
