VAUDEVILLE SEASON ENDS

Variety Show At Civic Theatre The members of Stan Lawson’s “Wait For It” company were again in good form last night when the third and final performance of the revue was presented in the Civic Theatre. The theatre was well filled, and the audience was treated to a bright and entertaining evening. A high degree of talent was displayed by the members of the company and there were few dull moments. Stan Lawson, producer and comedian, lived up to his reputation as a first-class entertainer. He and Harry Howlett were the main comedy team of the company, and they showed themselves to be a good team. The ballet arranged by Miss Rosita Powell proved to be one of the highlights of the show, and the work of the dancers was warmly applauded. As the principal dancing soloist, Miss Rowena Jackson gave an excellent performance. The singers also came in for their share of praise.
