FUTURE REDUCTION OF U.S. ARMY
(Rec. 7 p.m.) WASHINGTON, May 7. The United States Army will be cut by 1,800,000 men after V Day and the American occupation force in Germany will not exceed 400,000 MajorGeneral Edwards told the House Military Affairs Committee. The United States Army will then comprise 6,900,000 men, which is considered ample for the final action against Japan.
