Golden, Dee street, returns from a visit to Christchurch on Monday. Miss Betty Moir, Don street, has returned from a holiday in Queenstown and Dunedin. Mrs H. Ferguson, Ohai, is the guest of Mrs A. McKenzie, Swinton street. Mrs James Knuckey and Miss June Knuckey, Hastings, are the guests of Mrs Andrew Cook, William street. Mrs E. A. Newman, who has been the guest of Mrs L. C. Smith, Duke street, has returned to Dunedin. During the past year the Waikiwi Committee of the Red Cross Society, collected £l2l.

Miss Sally Derbidge, Dee street, and Miss Edna Shuttleworth, Avenal, are spending the weekend at the Rocks, Riverton. Mrs D. J. Wesney, Thomson street, who has been on an extended holiday in the North Island and Dunedin, returns home tonight. Mrs H. S. White and Miss Joan White, who have been the guests of Mrs C. H. V. White, Elies road, leave on their return to Wellington on Tuesday. At a meeting of the Home Science Alunnae, which was held in the Tudor Lounge on Thursday afternoon, the president, Miss Lousley, expressed the regret of the members at the departure of Miss Baker, who leaves shortly to take up a position in Dunedin as Tutor Organizer for the A.C.E., Otago University. The League of Mothers’ monthly meeting will be held on Thursday, March 15, at 2.45 p.m. in the Y.M.C.A. Hall.—Advt. ENGAGEMENTS The engagement is announced between Lieut.
