BODY OF CHILD FOUND

(P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, March 9. The dead body of Duncan Ensor, aged three years, was found today two miles from the home of his parents, Mr and Mrs Duncan Ensor, of Glen Rock Station, Rakaia Gorge, from which he had wandered yesterday. Apparently he had fallen over a bank into a stream, the possible causes of death being drowning or head injury. When his parents failed to find the child yesterday a search party was arranged by Constable J. A. Paddy, of Methven, who had the help of the officer-in-charge and soldiers and air force personnel from the harvest camp at Methven. They found the body early today. 1 DEATH OF CHILDREN The inquest into the deaths of Lavina Trena Janet Dawson, aged four, and Norma Evelyn Dawson, aged three, the daughters of Mr and Mrs L. A. Dawson, of Bluff, who were drowned in a pool on Saturday, March 3, was concluded at Bluff yesterday before the Coroner, Mr R. C. Abernethy, S.M. After hearing evidence the coroner returned a verdict that the cause of death was accidental drowning. The coroner expressed his sympathy with the parents of the children. He commended Richard William O’Sullivan, an employee of the Railways Department, for his action in diving into the pool and recovering the body of the younger child.
