BOY FATALLY INJURED

(P.A.) WHANGAREI, January 6. Sucked into the spillway of the Wairua electric power station and then carried over the falls, a fiver-year-old boy, Peter Erceg, a son of Mr Frank Erceg, an employee at the station, was fatally injured this morning. He had been playing in the water above the falls when he fell into the spillway. When a doctor arrived in the ambulance the boy was found to be dead.
