CLASSFORM TO GO TO STUD
FINE PERFORMANCES DURING CAREER (Special) WELLINGTON, January 5. As she has been difficult to train, Classform has been retired from racing and will be bred from next season. She is an eight year old mare by Inflation from Spearform, and throughout her career was raced by. her breeder, Mr C. W. Boyd, of Palmerston North. She won 14 races and £5935 in stakes, including the New Zealand Cup of 1943. Among her other successes were the Rangitikei Cup, Manawatu King George Handicap, Marton Aidworth Stakes, Ashhurst Cup, the Hawke’s Bay Te
Mahanga and Empire Handicaps and the Woodville Handicap. Classform also had some good placed form to her credit, with seconds in the New Zealand and Great Northern Oaks and in the C.J.C. Metropolitan Handicap, A. R. C. Nolan Handicap and the Wanganui and Feilding Cups. Classform is intensively bred to the Musket line, having five strains of this blood in her pedigree. The Wellington Cup candidate Typhoon has had a change of trainer since he raced in the Manawatu Cup. He is now in W. H._W. Dwyer’s stable at Levin. Typhoon will be ridden in the Wellington Cup by H. N. Wiggins.
