BOMB REPAIR ARMY.— Twenty thousand men are missing from London’s bomb repair army after the Christmas holidays, states The Daily Mail. Most of the men went home to the provinces for three days’ leave, beginning on December 23. Hundreds are drifting in daily, but the army of 130,000 is still 20,000 below strength. The number of defaulters precludes the possibility of prosecution, (London.)
