FACTORIES IN EUROPE.— Belgian and French factories have contracted to manufacture 550,000 dollars’ worth of mortars for the American Army to reduce the demands of home manpower and shipping. Fifteen Continental firms are making a type of recaps to meet the rubber shortage and also batteries and parts for jeeps and machine guns. (New York).
