WORLD NEWS FREEDOM REQUESTED
(Rec. 9.5 p.m.) OTTAWA, December 17. Senator W. A. Buchanan, president of the Canadian Press, in a broadcast asked the Canadian Parliament to declare for the incluson of a world news freedom in the peace treaties. He added, “When nations throughout the world can talk to one another honestly and fearlessly through the Press, as the opposing parties did in the recent conscription issue, we have the basis for a free and warless world.”
