WOMAN’S 100th BIRTHDAY

118 Descendants Living (P.A.) WHANGAREI, December 18. Born in Queen street, Auckland, of parents who had arrived from Britain two years earlier, Mrs Annie Telfer celebrated her 100th birthday in Whangarei. Her memory is still unclouded. On her marriage 80 years ago she went to a bush farm in Parua Bay, where she lived continuously until the beginning of this year. Her husband died in 1884, but they have 118 descendants, comprising six sons, six daughters, 53 grand-children, 50 great grand-children and three great great grand-children. Only two members of the entire family have died from natural causes.
