POLICE SEEK JEAN BOROTRA

Former French Tennis Player (Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, December 16. A Government official has revealed that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of the former tennis player, Jean Borotra, on a charge of collaboration with the Germans, reports the Paris correspondent of the Herald Tribune. Borotra is believed to be at present in a prison camp in Germany. He is undoubtedly one of the few Frenchmen in that situation who are wanted by the police in their own country. Henri Cochet said that he did not believe the police would convict Borotra because his two years in a German prison camp would be taken into account in his favour. Borotra collaborated only until the Germans occupied the previously “free” zone in France after the Allied landings in North Africa. ,
