Coudy to Overcast (Special) WELLINGTON, Dec. 13. Following is the special forecast for Southland issued by the Meteorological Office this evening for the period ending 5 p.m. tomorrow: — A deep depression in the Tasman Sea is moving towards the South Island. Moderate south-easterly to southerly winds. The weather, cloudy to overcast, with scattered drizzle or rain. Temperatures moderate. The weather was generally dull and overcast in Invercargill yesterday, with occasional brief showers of rain. A light south-easterly wind blew. The weather at 1 o’clock this morning was cool, calm and overcast. The barometer reading was 29.62 in (falling). THE TIDES—High water, Invercargill, 1.48 a.m., 2.03 p.m.; Bluff, 1.07 a.m., 1.22 p.m.; Riverton, 0.07 a.m., 12.22 p.m.; Oreti Beach, 0.16 a.m., 12.31 p.m. THE SUN—Rises, 4.48 a.m.; sets, 8.36 p.m.
