PROPOSED CYCLING TRACK

Sir, —I see by your paper of November 3 that the Southland Amateur Cycling Club has suggested that a cycling track be established in the city. I think it is about time some local sporting body pressed for this, as it is certainly needed. Other sporting bodies should give this progressive club all the backing they can. In most cities amateur cyclists, runners and other athletes hold mid-week programmes. I am sure that Southland youth would appreciate this step, and it would be very good for the province as a whole. HERE’S HOPING.
