K.; Wellington. Lee, Pte E. N.; Wellington. McGregor, Gnr J. S.; Auckland. Sutherland, Cpl O. H.; Blenheim. Tahere, L/Cpl N.; Te Teko. Urquhart, Tpr D. McL.; Waitara. PREVIOUSLY REPORTED PRISONER OF WAR, NOW REPORTED SAFE Natusch, Spr R. S.; Havelock North. PREVIOUSLY REPORTED WOUNDED, NOW REPORTED NOT WOUNDED, BUT ACCIDEN.TALLY INJURED White, L/Cpl S. B.; Dunedin.

2nd Lieutenant Janies Nigel Overton, who is reported wounded, is the eldest son of Mr C. F. Overton, Lora Station, and the husband of Mrs E. A. Overton, Lora. He joined the Otago Mounted Rifles in 1940 and entered the N.Z.E.F. in 1941, sailing with the 11th Reinforcements. He has been with the division in Italy since just before the battle for Cassino. 2nd Lieutenant Overton, who was employed on his father’s farm before joining the Army, was a member of the Limehills cricket team.
