R.N.Z.A.F. PERSONNEL

MINISTER QUESTIONED

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, October 24. An inquiry whether the Royal New Zealand Air Force was dispensing with trained personnel or transferring them to the army while at the same time engaging young recruits for the service, was made in the House of Representatives today by Mr W. J. Broadfoot (Nat., Waitomo). Mr Broadfoot gave notice of a question to the Minister of Defence, Mr Jones. Mr Broadfoot said that if the position were as stated would it not be better to retain trained personnel in preference to incurring more heavy expense in training young recruits.
