TWO CARS COLLIDE

GIRL DIES OF INJURIES (P.A.) NELSON, October 22. A collision between two cars at the intersection of Halifax and Tasman streets at 2.15 o’clock this morning resulted in the death of one of the passengers. She was Miss Joan Quinnell Thomas, aged 17, of 65 Wellington street, Nelson. She suffered a fractured skull and died in hospital four hours later. The three other occupants suffered minor injuries and were able to return home after hospital treatment.
