BUSY PORT OF NAPLES

(8.0.W.) RUGBY, October 21. Naples is now one of the greatest ports in the world in respect to the volume of goods handled, says a correspondent in Italy. During the past year a daily average of 21,320 tons of goods has been loaded and unloaded. One-sixth has been petrol, oil and lubricants.

The correspondent recalls that on October 4, 1943, two days after the entry of the Allies into Naples the first Allied cargo ship entered the mined channels and was moored alongside half a quay.
