DEPARTURE FROM CITY

The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, who had been in Invercargill since Thursday afternoon, returned north by plane yesterday morning. On Saturday morning Mr Fraser inspected the trust-controlled hotels. In the afternoon he opened the extensions to the R.S.A. club-rooms and paid a visit to the Southland Bowling Club’s green. Later Mr Fraser called on Mrs J. Hargest at Rakauhauka. In the evening he was the guest of honour at a Labour Party social in the North Invercargill Hall.
