WORLD AVIATION TO BE DISCUSSED
Conference Called By U.S.
(Rec. 7 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Sept. 30. The United States Government has circulated to more than 50 invited nations the agenda for a world aviation conference to be held on November 1 at a place to be designated. The agenda follows in detail the suggestions made by the United States on September 11, under which provision world routes will be established by general agreement.
An interim council will be formed to act as a clearing house and advisory agency during the transition to a world air organization. A new multilateral aviation convention will be drafted and a technical committee will be appointed.
The Washington correspondent of The New York Herald Tribune points out that Argentina has not been invited to the conference.
Reports from Ottawa, according to the Canadian Press state that probably an Empire air conversation will be held in Ottawa before the American meeting. Empire delegates will be additionally considering general questions and may discuss specific inter-Empire problems, such as the proposal for a trans-Pacific service operated jointly by Canada, New Zealand and Australia which was mooted some time.
