FLYING BOMB SITES

(8.0.W.) RUGBY, August 3. Royal Air Force Lancasters and Halifaxes, with fighter cover, were over France in great strength this afternoon to attack two flying bomb and rocket depots north of Paris. First reports indicate that both attacks were well concentrated.

Strong forces of Flying _ Fortresses this afternoon attacked railway marshalling yards at Saarbrucken, Malhouse and Strasbourg, an oil storage dump at Kerkwiller and additional military targets in France. The weather over the targets was excellent and bombing was visual. Mustangs in medium strength escorted the bombers while small forces of Lightnings and Thunderbolts strafed a variety of targets on file ground.
