FLESH AND BLOOD SHOWS

Company To: Visit Invercargill

Invercargill is to receive a visit from the J. C. Williamson Musical Comedy Company at present touring New Zealand. The company is playing “Arsenic and Old Lace,” and it is expected in Invercargill early in October. The dates which have been pencilled at the Civic Theatre are October 2, 3 and 4 and October 9, 10 and 11, but it is understood the Invercargill season will be spread over the first-named dates. It is more than two years since Invercargill had a visit from a touring theatrical company. Excepting the Kiwi Concert Party and visits from concert artists, the last flesh and blood show to come to Invercargill was J. C. Williamson’s “Crazy Show,” which played here in May 1942. Before that J. C. Williamson’s pantomime , Aladdin played to Invercargill audiences.
