Negotiations In Progress With Portugal
(Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, May 8. Negotiations between the British and Portuguese Governments for the stoppage, or at least a substantial reduction in wolfram exports from Portugal to Germany, are now in full swing, says The Daily Telegraph’s diplomatic correspondent. There are good hopes of the British Government achieving concrete results. Preliminary, conversations in Lisbon began while negotiations with Spain were still going on.
