BLUFF NEWS

PATRIOTIC APPEAL. —A successful street day in aid of the “On to Victory” appeal was held at Bluff, the sum of £26 being raised. The Mayor, Mr N. W. McGorlick, presided at a representative meeting held on Monday evening to decide on ways and means of raising money for the purpose of attaining Bluff’s quota towards the “On to Victory” appeal. It was decided to hold a two-night carnival on July 5 and 6 in aid of the sick and wounded and prisoners of war fund. The amount to be raised by the end of September in order, to reach the quota is £4OO.

NATIONAL SAVINGS.—Last week Bluff reached for the 121st time its weekly quota towards national savings.
