GENEROUS DONATION

Aid For War Veterans

NEW YORK, April 27. Mr Bernard'Baruch has announced that he is donating 1,100,000 dollars for medical research and instruction tc help to rehabilitate sick and wounded war yeterans. Mr Baruch said he believed physical therapy including diagnosis and treatment by light, water, heat, electricity and massage was not yet scientifically developed to the extent it deserved and he had evolved a programme for collaboration involving the Columbia College of Physicians, the New York University College of Medicine and the Virginia Medical College. If the plan worked out he proposed to give practically all his fortune to it. Last Christmas Mr Baruch donated 1,000,000 dollars to army and navy relief.
