ARMY FIRE-FIGHTING

(8.0.W.) RUGBY, April 8. Arrangements have been made under which a special contingent of wholetime members of the National Fire Service will be available if required for fire-fighting overseas in support of the Army Fire Service,' state the Home Office and the Scottish Home Department. The contingent, which will be composed of volunteers between the ages pf 19 and 41 years, will remain members of the National Fire Service acting un-; der the command pf their own officers, in National Fire Service uniforms with slight modification, but will come under the operational control of the Army authorities responsible for fire-fighting in the area where they are serving.
