LOCAL LOANS BOARD

New Secretary Appointed (P.A.) WELLINGTON, April 8. At a meeting of the Local Government Loans Board it was announced that Mr H. J., Miller, who has been secretary to the board for the past five years, was relinquishing the position on his promotion as chief clerk to the Treasury Department. Mr N. R. Davis was appointed to succeed Mr Miller. Mr Davis joined the Public Service as a cadet in the National Provident and Friendly Societies’ Department in 1926, transferring to the Treasury in 1935. He holds the degree of Bachelor

of Commerce, having graduated from Victoria University College in 1935. He has Keen associated with Local Government work in all its aspects since 1935 and for some time has served on the staff of the Loans Board.
