HOTELS HOTEL CROMWELL ON March 8, 1944, the Central Otago Licensing Committee granted permission for the “Commercial Hotel,” CromweU to be known in future as “Hotel CromweU.” It .is fitting that Central Otago’s leading hotel should have a name signifying its location and thus do away wim the confusion caused by so many hotels in Central Otago having the name “Commercial.” The “Hotel CromweU,” whilst retaining its past good reputation, wiU further enhance that reputation by installing hot and cold water in many bedrooms, electric heaters in some bedrooms and central heate for the spacious Main Lounge and Dining Room. The “Hotel CromweU” is owned and operated by Mr and Mrs Randolph Waldron, late “Excelsior Hotel,” Christchurch. 8207
