New Zealanders At Lord’s (Rec. 7.30 p.m.) LONDON, July 17. The New Zealanders C. S. Dempster, of the Army, and K. James, of the Air Force, appeared in opposing elevens at Lord’s. Dempster knocked up 53 for the army in a drawn game. The New Zealander F. T. Badcock made 58 not out for a British Empire eleven which beat Buccaneers by seven wickets.
