CHILD BURNED TO DEATH

Father Severely Injured

(P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, June 25. A child was burned to death and jts father was severely burned when fire broke out in a house in Durham street tonight. The victims were:— Dead—Neil William Wilson, aged three years. Injured—Arthur William Vincent Wilson, father of Neil Wilson, a driver, who is in hospital seriously ill. Another child, Theresa Wilson, aged five, was treated for burns at the hospital and discharged. The origin of the fire is not known. The alarm was given by a boy from the house next door. The occupants were removed from the house by fire brigadesmen. Mrs Wilson was not at home at the time.
