NEW VICE-CHIEF OF AIR STAFF

(8.0.W.) RUGBY, April 7. Air-Marshal Sir Douglas C. S. Evill has been appointed Vice-Chief of the Air Staff and an additional member of the Air Council in place of Air ViceMarshal C. E. H. Medhurst. Air-Marshal Evill succeeded Air Chief Marshal Sir Arthur Harris, now Commander-in-Chief of the Bomber Command, as head of the Royal Air Force delegation to Washington in February 1942.
