NEW CABINET IN FINLAND

LONDON, March 6.

In Finland, after the failure of several attempts by other leaders, Professor Linkomies has formed, a Cabinet in which all parties are represented except the , Fascists. A Helsinki report says that the former Prime Minister, Rangell, and the Foreign Minister, Witting, have been dropped from the new Cabinet. Henrik Ramsay, the new Foreign Minister, is a rich shipowner of remote Scottish descent. Tanner, who strongly opposes peace with Russia, is the new Finance Minister. The President, after the failure of Dr Hakkila to form a Cabinet, called on Professor Linkomies to begin unofficial attempts. Professor Linkomies was aided by the backing of the Social Democrats, the biggest party in the Finnish Parliament.

It is considered that Dr Hakkila was unable to succeed because his attitude is strongly pro-German.
