FISHING DISPUTE AT BLUFF
No Settlement Yet No agreement has yet been reached in the fishing dispute at Bluff concerning the prices to be paid by merchants to fishermen. Mr W. Clark, secretary of the Seamen’s Union, who has been conferring with the representatives of the fish merchants, stated on Saturday that prospects of a settlement at an early date did not appear to be bright. Discussions are also being held for the purpose of fixing the wages to be paid to women for work in the oyster industry. It is expected that this matter will be settled shortly. '
