Mr J. S. Robbie is at present on a visit to Wellington. Messrs W. F. Sturman and P. L. Hodge will leave this morning to attend a national conference of patriotic councils to be held in Wellington.

Mr A. E. Dobbie, registrar of the Supreme Court at Invercargill, has been appointed registrar of the Supreme Court at Dunedin. Mr Dobbie has been acting registrar at Dunedin since the death of Mr J. M. Adam four months ago. His duties in Invercargill have been carried out by Mr Mervyn Simmonds, official assignee and registrar of births, deaths and marriages. No announcement of Mr Dobbie’s successor at Invercargill has yet been made.
