NO DEVELOPMENTS IN WAIROA TRAGEDY

(P.A.) WAIROA, October 2. Despite the fact that it is now six weeks since the bodies of Brigadier Annie Smyth and Miss Rosamond Smyth were found in the local Salvation Army hall, and also that a large party of detectives has been in the bush since in the Wairoa district, no further developments have been disclosed to date. The Commissioner of Police, Mr D. J. Cummings, arrived yesterday and conferred with the local officers. He is still in Wairoa.
