SCHOLARSHIP BEQUEST

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, October 1. Provision for a six years’ scholarship tenable at Otago University Medical School is contained in the will of Miss Violet Winifred Souter, of Parnell. After the termination of a life interest and satisfaction of other private bequests, the trustees are to set aside sufficient capital to provide an annual income of £2OO. This is to be available for six years, or such further period as the selection committee shall decided, for the maintenance and education of a pupil of the Auckland, Mount Albert or Takapuna Boys’ Grammar Schools at the Medical School.

Further bequests totalling £5500 are provided for subject to the adequacy of the residue. The whole estate has been valued for probate at under £45,000.
