£325 IN FINES IMPOSED

(P.A.) GISBORNE, September 30. Fines totalling £325 were imposed by Mr E. L. Walton, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court on Antonio Zame tor breaches of the Distillation Act and Licensing Act. Under the former Act he was charged with having in Ins possession a still and worm suited to the distilling of spirits and with unlawfully distilling spirits. On these charges he was fined £l5O on each charge. Under the Licensing Act he was charged with selling liquor after hours and selling wine in a quantity of less than two gallons.
