ACCEPTANCES AND PROSPECTS Southland horses are expected to play a leading part in the programme of the Otago Hunt Club at Wingatui today. The card consists of steeplechasing, hurdling, trotting and racing, and some of the best horses in commission in the South Island are listed in the fields. The meeting marks the opening of the new racing season in Otago and Southland, and although several horses will be having their first race, form generally may be worked out on recent winter racing.
