SURE OF VICTORY
(Rec. 11 p.m.) CAIRO, September 3. Mr Wendell Willkie told correspondents in Egypt that he was absolutely convinced of victory very soon. “High tide has now been reached,” he said. ‘Both Japan and Germany can be defeated at the same time. We may have to lose more lives and destroy more property, but victory is inevitable. There can be only one outcome of this war.”
