TURKISH SHIPS SUNK BY OWNERS
(Rec. 8.30 p.m.) ANKARA, June 12. The sinking of six small Turkish ships, of which the Russians and Germans have accused each other, has been cleared up following the arrest of a number of Turkish ship-owners, who will be tried by a Turkish military court.
It is revealed that the ships, which were plying between Turkey and Bulgaria, were deliberately sunk by the captains after the crews and cargoes had been put ashore. The owners collected war insurance for the ships and sold the cargoes elsewhere.
