Following is the special weathpr forecast for Southland issued by tne Meteorological Office, Wellington: Moderate westerly winds, freshening at times on the West Coast. The weather fair to cloudy; temperatures moderate. The weather in Invercargill yesterday was cold and unsettled. There was a light drizzle in the afternoon and a westerly wind. At 1 o’clock this morning the weather was cold and overcast. A strong wind was blowing from the west. The barometer reading was 30.18 in.
