MORE SALVAGE FROM S.S. WAIKOUAITI

Taking advantage of the recent calm weather, those undertaking the salvage operations on the wrecked Waikouaiti at Dog Island have made good progress. The salvage vessel Marina has been out almost every day. More blasting has been done to make the ship workable. Salvage retrieved recently includes dredge bucket lips, manganese steel, billets of steel and hardwood timber.
