LAUNCH FOUNDERS: The crew of five lost their lives when a motorlaunclf foundered in very rough seas off the east coast of Tasmania. The members of the crew were accomplished yachtsmen. All the bodies have been recovered. (Hobart.) TIDAL WAVE: A freak tidal wave churned by high winds swept a 50 foot wall of water along the shore in the Lake Erie resort area north-east of Cleveland, drowning at least six persons and injuring others and smashing scores of small boats.
