SOME Evening this week a Two Hour Trial Blackout will be held in the Otautau E.P.S. District. The alarm lasting 2 minutes will be sounded on the Otautau Dairy Factory whistle, 10 second blasts at 5 second intervals.' All clear will be a continued whistling for 2 minutes. The Otautau E.P.S. District is the Otautau Town District together with the properties along the North sides of George Street and Liemen Street; along the Main Road - northwards to the Otautau Dairy Factory, the district also includes any buildings outside the Town District boundary that are adjacent to same. During the Blackout, Wardens will patrol their various blocks as at previous Blackout. Motor vehicles moving in the Blackout area must proceed slowly with dimmed lights and must stop when signalled to do so.
