SOLDIERS’ PARCELS FROM SOUTHLAND

Within the last 10 days 1025 soldiers’ parcels have been packed at the Invercargill women’s patriotic depot for despatch to the troops, according to a report to the Invercargill Metropolitan Patriotic Committee last night by Mrs Stanley Brown. She said the latest quota was estimated at 2280, representing an icrease of 20 per cent, over the last issue. The parcels were required in Wellington by April 30 and they would be ready in plenty of time, she said.
