“WAR GUILT" TRIAL
(Rec. 11 p.m.) VICHY, March 4. “France in September, 1939, had only 510 planes of which 442 were modern,” declared M. La Chambre, a former Minister of Air, giving evidence at the Riom “war guilt” trial. He alleged that French technicians would not admit' the possibility of using planes against tanks, and accused specialists of not fully using 3500 planes which were available at the end of May, 1940. He said there were 2500 unused planes at the time of the armistice.
