GOEBBELS EXCELS HIMSELF

MANIFESTO OF FREEDOM TO INDIAN PEOPLES (Rec. 5.30 p.m.) LONDON, March 3. Germany has begun a radio campaign, unprecedented in vehemence, to incite India to overthrow British rule, says a correspondent of The Times in Switzerland. An unknown radio station began the campaign by broadcasting in English and German a manifesto of freedom to the Indian peoples. Numerous German-controlled stations in Europe broadcast a statement by the outlawed former president of the All India Congress, Chadra Bose, who said that India’s day of deliverance had arrived with the fall of Singapore. He branded British Imperialism as India’s eternal enemy. With British Imperialism, he declared, there could be no peace and no compromise.
